Ok guys just finished up with the driver's side door of the Elantra. Got kilmat inside the door, on the plastic door piece, all the flat spots as well as the door card. Fast rings installed and made my first tweeter mount. Question though. The speakers don't have the bass the factory speakers do. Is that because I need to hook my DSP? Speakers are Hertz DSK 165.3'S.

Ok Deviant you were right. Stock speakers are 3 ohm. Got this whole week off thanks to rain! Got all 4 doors done (17 hours!) I gotta say after all speakers are in it sounds SO MUCH BETTER!! The highs are crisp and not muddy from the mids. Can't wait to put some real power to them!
Hey Rob. Thanks for starting this forum. Your awesome. I don't ow if you read Deviant's post but that guys awesome too! Can't wait to get that DSP in. I wouldn't even know about DSP if it weren't for Dean!
Looks good man. Those factory speakers are higher sensitivity and you will need a bit of power to reach and exceed them.
Oh crap I didn't even think of that. So I'll deal with a little less bass until I put in the DSP. Upgrading the rears as well. Sound treating all four doors and the trunk. Having a shop do the integration on the DSP though. I don't want to screw that up😊. I'll be posting pics of the build. Thanks for the advice, your awesome!
I am putting them on a Kenwood psx600 DSP. But no Right Now there running on factory deck power.
